This is a hand painted silk shawl. Unique, one of a kind, spider web drawing in black against the bold colored orange background creates wild, yet stylish elegance. Inspired by art nouveau and steampunk, trying to reconcile them with contemporary, deconstructionist visions of fashion.
I love splashing blacks onto the colored surfaces and silk painting is perfect for creating unusual painterly shapes and watercolor effects.
It can also be made in other colors, so pls check the photos and options.
Shawl is available in these sizes:
Smaller 38x18 in (45x100 cm)
Larger 79x18 in (45×200 cm)
Take note that this scarf is left with natural edges (unhemmed) to keep silk's natural drape. Silk used is middle weight, Pongee 07mm, and maybe will frill a bit, but will also develop a beautiful natural edge over time, so no need to worry about durability and quality.
You can hand wash this shawl in a mild (wool) detergent and tepid or cool water. Iron on the back side and take care not to use too warm iron preset. You can also wet it a little bit for best results.
Since it is a one of a kind item and is impossible for me to create two identical scarves, the actual look of the item may slightly differ from photographs, although it will not be different in style and size.
